Trader Workstation Configuration

•           Global Configuration - gives you easy access to all features of TWS for quick configuration.

•           Feature Selector - allows you to hide or display features as you need to keep your application organized.

•           Workspace Manager - creates custom workspaces that display the screens you use most.

•           Layout Manager - hides or display columns on the trading screen, and creates custom layouts for specific pages.

The Trader Workstation is a powerful, feature-rich trading application with the built-in flexibility to customize your work environment for optimal productivity. Configure TWS to accommodate your trading style through some major configuration tools, including: Global Configuration, the Feature Selector, the Workspace Manager and the Layout Manager.

Global Configuration

 Global Configuration provides a central area where you define default configuration settings that are universal to the entire workstation. Also, each feature you choose can be individually customized.

•           Order Defaults let you predefine order type, order size, order offset amounts and more for a specific instrument, including stocks, options, future options, warrants, futures, and combinations.

•           Assign hotkeys and buttons to help you rapidly create and transmit orders to the marketplace.

•           The text search function helps you locate the page you want to configure.

•           At-a-glance assessment using your favorite color, font type, and font size in your trading window.

•           Easy access to edit settings using the configure icon in each panel or the available right click menu.

Feature Selector

The Feature Selector is a single page "tree" that lists all major features available in TWS, including Analysis tools, Market Data tools, Order Management, and Real-time Activity Monitoring tools. Use this to enable features you would like to use and disable features you do not use. All disabled features will be hidden from menus and drop down choices, which provides you with an uncluttered and personalized trading environment.

Workspace Manager

Based on your trading needs, arrange and save TWS windows you use most often on your desktop through the Workspace Manager. You can create multiple workspaces that include any of the following self-contained windows:

•           Trading Window

•           Trading Toolbar

•           BookTrader

•           OptionTrader

•           BasketTrader

•           Arbitrage Meter

•           Market Depth

•           Account Information

•           Execution Reports

•           Interactive Charts

Layout Manager

The layout feature lets you create custom layouts that apply to your trading pages and it is accessible from Global Configuration. Using Layout Manager, you can:

•           Easily add, remove, and sort columns from your trading screen.

•           Configure columns based on available attributes.

•           Drag and drop a column into a new location to reposition columns on your trading page.
